The Great Invocation is a core principle of the Ageless Wisdom Teachings. We understand “invocation” to mean “prayer” in this case, as it is intended to provide an opportunity for humanity to call out for assistance at any time. If you use prayer in your spiritual practice, whatever that might be, you will certainly find these words to be helpful and comforting, and provide a way for you to become more actively involved in the welfare of humanity at large. This invocation is indeed part of humanity’s ancient history, and is provided to us by the Masters and Teachers as a means to more consciously participate in our greater plan and purpose. These words are powerful and effective, and are intended to guide humanity into greater light, love and spiritual purpose. This invocation can be understood as a foundation to all religions and faiths. Spiritual truth is a practical matter and therefore applies to all. It is a prayer that is inclusive and far-reaching in its meaning and relevance, as every individual within greater humanity is welcome in the “One Great Work”. Feel free to use it in your life and work at every opportunity!
From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the mind of humanity
Let Light descend on Earth
From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the heart of humanity
Let the World Teacher return to Earth
From the center where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little will of humanity
The purpose which the Masters know and serve
From the center which we call the race of humanity
Let the Plan of Light and Love work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth
*I made a couple of minor revisions to the original text of the Great Invocation. I have no “permission” from any person, organization, Master, or Teacher to make these changes. The changes are my own. I believe that in order for any teaching to be valuable and effective, it must be as inclusive as possible in its presentation. Unfortunately, the various languages currently available to us are somewhat limited, as we have no word or term we can use in many cases to provide an implication of inclusivity. Within the original invocation, you will find the word “men” used at times. I have replaced the word “men” with the word “humanity”, to include women in its intended meaning. In the original invocation, you will also find the phrase, “May Christ return to Earth”. I have replaced the term “Christ” with the term “World Teacher” in order to avoid any possible confusion involving religious connotation. “The Great Plan” or “The One Work” applies to all humanity, regardless of any particular religious affiliation or perspective. My intent is to be helpful, and to indicate to you some possible modifications we might find in a new level of spiritual teaching coming to humanity in the near future. Please consider these revisions within that context.
