“Our Democracy Is Us, the United States of America”

My friends, I changed my mind about what I think we need to be focussed on this month. And guess what? I am free to do that today in the United States of America! So, here is the new meditation for July published as an article as well. Please continue reading on, for we do indeed have much more to consider now as we move forward over the next few months.

By the way, the above image represents the correct way to display the American Flag. We still have respect, admiration, and a necessary humility.

Liberty and Justice for All

On this 4th day of July 2024, we celebrate the birthday of the United States of America. We celebrate truth, we celebrate freedom, we celebrate equality. Indeed, we celebrate freedom from tyranny, freedom from one way as the only way for all. My friends, no man or woman is more important than any other. No belief is more correct than any other. No way of life is better than any other.

In this grand experiment we call democracy, what we know as the United States of America, we attempt to prove, beyond any doubt, that each of us is in fact born of the same Creator. Each of us therefore has equal value, and each of us has something to provide to the greater whole to make it even better. Because democracy is an experiment in human living, we must understand it as ongoing. Yes, we are becoming more perfect with every little effort. Within the establishment of a democracy, we attempt to understand what Universal Law is, we attempt to know what our Creator has in mind for us as the best path forward for all. We have a system of laws and policies in which each of us must cooperate in order that we have an equal opportunity to participate in a fair and just manner. As imperfect as this great adventure is, we must agree that it is the best way available to us thus far. We will find our way. We have found our way.

On this day, we remember our forefathers, we remember the creation of the U.S. Constitution. If our democracy is to see success, if we are to create true equality, then we must know, beyond any doubt, no man or woman is above the laws we have set forth. There shall be no king or queen, no dictator, no person who shall have everything, no individual who shall have the final say. We freed ourselves from the tyrants, from the vastly misunderstood and abused policies of the Christian Church, and from the few who had only a selfish intent and motive to oppress the many, and thereby withhold from the many what can and should be available to all.

It is our time today to celebrate the opportunity to show our true nature in this great country of ours. We love one another, we care about one another, and we must be willing to sacrifice what we feel we need in order to create what is needed by all. In every way, we have the opportunity to alleviate all suffering, with a full commitment to work together in common purpose. In this way, we continue moving forward, always. The past is over. A better future is therefore upon us. Today, we must choose again.

Every nation, every political leader, every business leader, every religious leader, every man, woman, and child, indeed every human being, must stand up today and state the following with all willingness, cooperation, and certainty:

We choose truth

We choose freedom

We choose equality

We choose liberty and justice for all

On Monday, July 1, 2024, the Supreme Court abandoned the principles of the United States Constitution, beyond any doubt. The American way of life we have enjoyed for almost 250 years is no longer. Any man or woman who becomes the President of the United States now can do whatever they would like to do, no matter the destruction, no matter the great harm to us. And, they can do these things with no accountability. This individual will indeed be entirely above the laws the rest of us are expected to comply with. It is possible now that the grand experiment we know as the United States, our democracy, an opportunity to create justice, fairness, and equality for all, may come to an end. But, it isn’t over yet. It is time to stop believing that the election in November is about the differences between Donald J. Trump and Joseph R. Biden, for these differences are astounding and absolutely clear. The Supreme Court and the Republican Party demand that we return to the 1600s, to a time when our country didn’t even exist. Our choice, then, is crystal clear. We can continue to live in a democracy, which would indicate to us great freedoms, or we can allow an autocracy to be our new way of life, which would indicate to us total imprisonment once again. Do we want to live a life of joy and love, or do we want to live a life of slavery and fear? Again, the choice is ours.

As far as Joe Biden’s poor debate performance, well, I have a poor performance at least every other day, and so do you. We know our current president is older. He at times has difficulty remaining focussed and clear, and indeed has difficulty even walking. But, I will tell you, my feet hurt, I can’t walk with great ease at all times, and I’m 20 years younger than he is. I’m confused, scared, uncertain, and I find the chaos overwhelming too. How has your experience been, my friend? I think it’s a terrible idea to try to choose someone else to represent us at this time in the game. And, my friends, it isn’t a game at all. No, this isn’t yet another sporting event with temporary winners and losers. It is quite literally life and death. Joe Biden and his Administration have given us a lot. Let’s appreciate this and give them plenty of space to continue. I think we forget the United States Government is made up of many individuals of great skill and importance. Our government is not just one man or woman, after all. It is we who are the government. Joe Biden is not alone, nor does he accomplish anything alone. Again, we do not vote for one man, we vote for an entire Party, the Democratic Party. We vote for an idea. We vote for freedom and equality for all. We vote for the well-being of ourselves, our families, and our fellow brothers and sisters. Let’s march on, let’s move forward. Together, we will achieve. We have every opportunity and every awareness to make the correct decision, and we need to do that today.

On this wonderful 4th of July, the best one yet, we celebrate life, and we give ourselves the opportunity to truly enjoy being together. My dearest friends, have a safe and joyous holiday!

All my love and support, be well
