To resolve the apparent duality we find ourselves in, we need to understand what each of the two parts consist of, and what the purpose and intent of each part actually is. So, we have the “higher” spiritual realms and the “lower” physical world. As far as purpose and intent, we can view one as having the intent to reflect the other. The higher planes of consciousness, where our souls have their home, can be considered a prototype of what we are becoming. To know that we are imperfect and that our world is imperfect is not a bad thing, for what it indicates to us is potential, you see. Our physical world and life is a mirror, then, intended to reflect what already exists in the spiritual realms. Most of us are unaware of what exists there, but this is changing, as we are acquiring the experiences we need to include this higher potential in our own minds. Although this “reflection” is not exact, we can see our world to have similar structures, institutions, groups, and functions as their higher counterparts. This is important to recognize, because if we understand how our physical world operates, we have an indication of how the higher realms also operate. “As above, so below”. An acceptance of this basic premise helps us feel connected and part of the greater whole. This premise is analogous to what happens in our minds too as we create our lives. Our mind is not a physical thing, but it is the place where we create physical things, meaning our life and all its various aspects. Let’s take a look.
Hierarchy Everywhere
The world in which we live is based on hierarchies. If you consider the structure of a business or organization, for example, there is a leader or founder sitting at the top. Then we have the managers and their departments, and the individuals within those departments who pull everything together and make it work. The same is true in the higher dimensions of reality. We need to understand that the various hierarchies of our world, and those above, are important because they provide us with the structure and organization required to make everything work together. We need to know who is who and who does what in order to discover our own level of participation and purpose. If we accept the fact that there is always someone who knows more than we do, we place ourselves in a position to be educated. We want to grow, we want to understand. Being humble is not a hard thing if we come from the proper perspective and attitude. It would be very difficult for us to grow and learn without someone else having been there that can show us the way. There will always be someone with greater wisdom and experience. There is one major difference between the hierarchies that exist in the spiritual world and those that exist here in the physical. Our leaders, whether it be in government, education, or otherwise, do not necessarily know more than we do because of the positions they hold. This we are painfully aware of! In the higher realms, one must be able to demonstrate one’s level of understanding, awareness and skill in order to take a higher position. Again, we see our world to not be a perfect reflection of the higher worlds just yet. That’s ok, we’ll get there. The idea of hierarchy, then, provides us with that necessary organization we need to know where we’re at. This allows us to feel and be more comfortable with our life and existence. We don’t have to know everything all at once! I would like to add, there is much greater wisdom beyond the human mind and the human kingdom as well. We must think about life and the universe in terms of ever-expanding consciousness and inclusive levels of awareness. We must begin by understanding ourselves.
Groups, Organizations, Function and Purpose
Each group within the greater whole is designed to have a certain function to make the world function properly. We have government, education, the sciences, and medicine, religious institutions, just to name a few. Each is part of the greater whole. Each is a spoke of the one wheel. The higher realms or planes of existence are designed in a similar way. These groups and organizations exist outside our physical world, so we need to use some different language or terminology to describe them. An easy way to conceptualize the structure of the universe is to view it in terms of 3’s and 7’s. Every form of life or consciousness has three aspects to itself. Every form of life will find itself in one of seven groups of manifesting energy. These are the seven rays of life, or the seven aspects of God. Each of us has a soul, and each soul is part of one of these greater groups of energy and purpose. An awareness of all this stuff is quite a way off for the majority of humanity, so don’t worry! Again, it’s enough to understand ourselves as an individual and how we can operate and function more effectively. We’ll let the rest come when the time is right. Having said that, we also consist of three parts, a physical body, an emotional body, and a mental body. We are physical, we feel, we think. Our goal is to make these three parts of ourselves work together, efficiently. It’s a lot of work, but we can do it. We also need to understand that we are part of a bigger group as an individual here in the physical world. We do, believe it or not, have an affinity with certain types of work and ways of being. We will find ourselves in the area of education, government, religion, science, or other clearly defined groups. Here again, we have seven types of souls above, and seven departments of human living below. Generally speaking, we can be our best and give our best under the conditions provided by one of these various groups. I know what you’re going to ask. What is my purpose, where do I fit in? If you don’t know yet, you will find lots of company! Don’t worry, it will come. Pay attention to your experience and how you feel about yourself and what you’re doing. If you are uncomfortable or feel unfulfilled, that’s an indication you need to keep looking. Always moving forward. You’ll get there.
From our Mind to Reality
So, enough with all this metaphysical stuff already! How do these principles and facts help us understand ourselves, and how we can operate more effectively in our lives? Well, it’s our mind that stands at the top of our own personal hierarchy. We are learning how to be co-creators, if you will, and the mind is where it all begins. The principle of reflection applies here as well. Our outer life is a mirror to what is happening in our mind. Our life reflects what we think about and what we believe to be true. If I can impart anything of value here, every human being must accept they create their reality. For a very long time, we believe we are victims. Our perception is that things happen to us without our say so. What we actually have is a wonderful opportunity to understand our mind as a tool to become engaged with the creative process itself. This is our inherent purpose. It is what we came here to learn how to do. We can begin with a simple picture of what we want or what we would like to change. Although we need to be as clear as possible what this picture is, having all the details in place beforehand is not possible, nor is it necessary. Trying to have the perfect vision will not only slow down our process, but may in fact inhibit us from beginning the process at all. Let the details fill in as the process unfolds. Our life and the world are a blank canvas existing in our own mind. We can place whatever color or design on the canvas we would like to, within certain pre-defined boundaries, of course. We cannot have everything we want at all times! However, these boundaries or limitations are not as firm as our egos would like us to believe, so stretch the imagination a little bit! All we have to do is become engaged and use the awesome gift the universe or God has given us. We do need to keep in mind along the way that, more often than not, our creations will not be exactly what we envisioned. What does eventually show up in our life, however, will be exactly what we need. No worries, my friends, our original dream hasn’t died. We are simply given the opportunity to make some changes, so we can begin to create that next better version. If we “hit the wall”, or encounter problems bringing forth what we desire, maybe there’s too much junk standing in our way. We must, then, use our minds in a discerning manner as well. We need to decide what is important and what is not. We must let go of what is unnecessary in our lives if we hope to be successful and be at peace. This is our healing. It’s important to remember that our mind is what connects us to these higher spiritual realms I speak of. We can engage with this part of the process as well. Ask for help and it will be there. Again, our life and the outer world are but a mirror of what is happening in our mind. One reflects the other. If we don’t like what we see, we can change our minds and begin anew at any time. This is our divine right and gift. As above, so below.
Every part of this great universe of ours, from the highest to the lowest, operates within the same principles and guidelines as every other part. And guess what? That includes us as an individual within this greater whole. There’s no big secret that needs to be revealed to us. However temporary our current level of awareness may be, this will change and grow as we move forward in our lives with a desire to know more. I don’t recommend attempting to access the center of the mind of God at the beginning of your journey, for this is unrealistic. With your inquisitive mind and heartfelt desire, stay closer to home in your pursuit. Develop a relationship with your own soul living inside. Trust me, the level of love and wisdom your soul has to offer is plenty! Reach within and up and ask this simple question. “What do you know that I do not?”. I assure you it will be a truly humbling experience!
