“Christ and Buddha – Two Great Teachers of the Same World”

Meditation 7334014 1920

The Christ and the Buddha. They are two of the greatest Spiritual Teachers to have ever been involved with the evolution of humanity and the world in which we live. My friends, these Spiritual Beings are brothers of ours. They have been with us for almost an eternity, and will continue to be, for they have an unending love for humanity. They truly care about who we are and where we are going. It is their intent and promise that all of us achieve a great love and wisdom that they themselves have achieved, through an unimaginable dedication and effort. It is our time today to have the same. These two are indeed brothers, for they work with the same line of energies and forces which underlie our entire solar system. It is the 2nd Ray of Love and Wisdom to which they belong. The Christ primarily encompasses the love portion of this great ray of energy, while the Buddha encompasses that of wisdom. We can consider love to be the highest expression of our emotional nature, and wisdom to be the highest of our mental nature. The full development of love and wisdom is the entire goal of every human being. As we have stated before, the love aspect of our nature must happen first, and a fuller development of wisdom within the mind nature will naturally follow. My fellow souls, to be wise, is to understand love. This is a spiritual journey in which we all share. It is a long and arduous journey, that is certain, but we can rest assured, the work of the Christ, the Buddha, and many other “Wise Ones” will ensure our success and safe travel along the way.

It should be very clear, these two Great Brothers work in close alignment, for it is the alignment of our own hearts and minds that will indeed be the product of their great service to us. The development of love within the heart is the most difficult part, this we know, for our emotional healing can be quite painful at times. With our willingness, however, we will endure this struggle, and the Christ, who we are also, will be revealed. The purpose of the Christ, of which He came here to show us, will then be fulfilled. My friends, we must remember, the Christ himself was once one of us. This simple, but relatively unknown fact, guarantees our success. As far as the work of the Buddha is concerned, it is ongoing, and well into our future, for our minds are still in a state of infancy for the most part. Even our scientific community is well aware that our brain is currently utilizing only a small percentage of its full capacity. This will surely unfold as we move forward together. It is the higher aspects of mind, that of the intuition, etc., that the Buddha helps us develop and incorporate into our experience. As has been stated already, there are very few human beings among us who have achieved any measure of success in this area. But again, we are well on our way. The takeaway here is that we as human beings must have our heart and mind working together in close rapport. One needs the other, and together, a new type of consciousness is created. It is a spiritual or intuitive state. It is true oneness and greater understanding. It is the gateway to the higher mind, in which purpose is revealed. That sounds really neat to me! I’m not there yet either, my friends, so don’t worry, we’ll get there, for the Christ and the Buddha say it is so! Remember, the mind without the heart leads to separateness, isolation, and cruelty. The heart without the mind leads us back to emotional significance, unbalance, and intense self-centeredness. The Christ and the Buddha. The heart and the mind. The two together bring completion, wholeness.

In terms of the type of consciousness, civilization, ways of living and being, both the Christ and the Buddha have their areas of expertise, if you will. The Christ is more closely associated with the development of the Western mind and civilization, while the Buddha is more associated with that of the Eastern mind and civilization. Always an understanding of duality, my friends, always an opportunity to come together. Let’s remember, we’re all human beings, regardless of our current locale. We all have a heart and a mind. You see, therefore, it’s all relative! Having said this, could the culture of the West benefit from the culture of the East, and vice versa? I believe it is essential and inevitable. Clearly, those in the West could benefit by the need to work together as a team, which the East does a little better. Clearly, those in the East could benefit by the need for freedom of self-expression and opportunity, which the West does a little better. The average individual in Western culture must learn how to share. The average individual in Eastern culture must have something to share. The Western mind is entirely self-centered. The Eastern mind has no self-identity. Do you see, my friends, how we can benefit from one another? Do you see how one needs the other in order to be whole? Do you see how the heart alone provides no direction or purpose? Do you see how the mind alone provides no inclusiveness or caring? These are important things for each of us to consider. What we must know today is that we are brothers and sisters. The work of the Christ and the Buddha proves this, beyond any doubt. We are guided and supported, and we will achieve because of it. We all seek freedom and wholeness, and with a little effort, the coming together of our hearts and minds will ensure our success. It is all of us together. It is One World. It is One Humanity. It is the fusion of heart and mind that creates this oneness, a new identification with who we are and what we are capable of, a mutual undertaking in which all must cooperate and participate.

This is the nature of the soul, the energy of love and wisdom in its fullest expression.

*My dear friends, spiritual understanding is not a hard thing. Are you getting the hang of it? It is always simplicity that guides us forward more quickly. If our spiritual development remains entirely esoteric, it will never be gained. If we believe it is not possible, we will never even try. Read these words today with an attitude of hope and probability. Our life is upon us, and we must participate with an open mind and a full expression of heart. In this way, our potential is revealed, and achievement of understanding is all that much easier. Thank you for being here today. You are a welcomed partner in this most important, and mutual, spiritual journey!
