There is a big question all spiritual students have at some point on the path and, for the most part, this question will remain a nuisance for quite some time. Do the knowers and teachers, the Masters of the Wisdom themselves, pay attention to our daily lives? In other words, are they interested in our behavior, in our thoughts and feelings from one moment to the next? My fellow companions, the answer may surprise you. To some of you it may be disappointing, and to others, it may be quite a relief! The short and simple answer to this age-old question is no. They have no interest in our daily activities, how we feel about things, whether our thoughts are limiting and unproductive, or whether our behavior is in line with what is right and wrong. Having said that, they do love us, and they most certainly want us to succeed in every way. They definitely do pay attention to us, but not too much attention, until certain areas of our greater development have been achieved.
I understand, we want to know that we are cared about. We want to have some indication that we are doing a good job in life. We want to know how we are proceeding on the spiritual path itself. My friends, if we’re looking to be acknowledged, if we require an occasional pat on the back, I’m afraid it’s just not going to happen in the way we would like it to. If we remember the need to exercise our basic common sense, we will realize the Teachers are busy indeed. They cannot therefore be overly burdened with the various details of our individual lives. It’s a practical matter, that’s all. The fact that we do not get the feedback we sometimes desperately need, has nothing to do with us deserving love and support. We can receive this love and support, but we’re going to have to look for it a little closer to home. What we must understand are the practical reasons why they are unable to give us the attention we feel we need. This will help us know what life is really about, indeed, what the spiritual path entails.
It is of vital importance we recognize the need to find our own way. It is up to us to become more aware of how we’re doing. This builds confidence, strength, and yes, an ongoing and increasing ability to trust ourselves. We can know of our success by paying attention to our own experience. It is the healing of our very own self that develops the love we are seeking. These things, my friends, the Spiritual Hierarchy can definitely see. What they are looking for is the development of areas of light within us and around us. If you recall, the Path of Discipleship concerns the alignment between ourselves as a personality, our physical self, and the higher part of us we know as the soul. It is our actual life experiences that will eventually produce greater understanding. I tell you, the love we are developing within our hearts, and the wisdom we are acquiring within our minds, builds a bridge of light to our very own soul. It is an arduous journey, a long process indeed. When the alignment with the plan of our soul is nearing completion, the love and light that we are moves out into the world to include others. It is spiritual service that now becomes our only way of life. These greater areas of light and love we are currently developing, our Hierarchy is constantly aware of. They have every intent we will achieve, for they wish us to return home as much as we would like to get home. We are well on our way.
Returning to practicality, my friends, the Masters and Teachers do not pay attention to the details of our individual lives, for this is our job. If we were to be truly honest with ourselves, what we really want to know is if we are being judged. Again, I would ask you, “Do we judge a child for making mistakes, when it is only their lack of experience which leads them astray?” Common sense must always be our guide. The only judgment that is happening in this glorious universe of ours, is us judging ourselves. And, unfortunately, self-judgment always leads to the judgment of others. This is our greatest healing. If we make ourselves wrong all the time, we will never grow. If we believe every action we take is being monitored and criticized, we will never take the necessary risks we must take in order to grow. My friends, we can only find our way through trial and error. The Masters, the knowers and teachers, are fully aware of our process, and our inevitable choosing of the wrong way, for they have been where we are today. This is how they know of our inevitable success as well, of our inevitable choosing of the correct way, for they are proof of achievement. They stand alongside us with all encouragement and guarantee.
Fellow souls, keep it simple. If you feel like you’re doing something wrong, then you probably are. Again, there is no room for judgment, just make the correction. If you feel empty inside, if you believe you are not doing the best you can, then perhaps you just need to try again. The Spiritual Hierarchy takes notice of forward movement, above and beyond all else, so let this be your real and only goal. Be patient, take notice of the smallest of growth, and you will receive the honest feedback you require. Love and include others, and you will be loved by, and included in, the Hierarchy itself. This is the way. Greater light is achieved when the higher plan of the soul is allowed. Be humble and allow it. Be cooperative and be willing, and the pathway home will be clearly seen. It is your time, it is our time, today.
The Masters and Teachers love at all times
They support at all times
They encourage at all times
They know of success at all times
They believe in you, they believe in us, at all times
My friends, be open, be sure, and be free
