“Interlude – The Persistent Light”

Fellow disciples, what exists at the center of the darkness is a persistent light. Perhaps we do not know what this light is exactly, but we do know it is there. This subtle sense is of the utmost importance, for it gives us a great comfort, yes, perhaps it gives us a partial knowing of the unknown which must be known. Let it be said, trust and faith are critical elements to a successful journey on the spiritual path. You see, it is really a true humility we are developing, for it is humility that suggests an ability to allow rather than to force. It is an acceptance and willingness, rather than an impatience and demand. This powerful realization has some important implications for us to consider today.

The very idea of trust implies that there must be some kind of plan we do not see just yet. There must be something or someone that knows more. If this were not the case, we would have no desire or awareness to produce for ourselves the required effort needed to proceed. The persistent light is an awareness of imminent growth and change. A forward movement, indeed. The light only asks of us to step into it. Greater understanding therefore becomes possible. Not just possible, but likely. With greater understanding, greater freedom will surely be gained. You see, we seem to want many things, but underneath it all, only a freedom to be certain remains. Fellow brothers and sisters, the persistent light ensures our success. As we proceed on our spiritual journey, then, there is often little that we need to do. The Plan already is. All we really need to do is apply a simple willingness in our lives to step into the light, and the Plan shall be revealed. A partial understanding of the Plan is always sufficient to produce an awareness of intent. This is the most important part of our work, to realize what we do in fact intend. It is what we hold for ourselves and what we hold for all others, as a promise, as a guarantee. Again, what else is there for us to know, but an acquiring of the passion required to move forward, and a willingness to participate in every conceivable way? The Plan is in full motion. We allow, and then we are free.

Take a few moments and absorb the energy of the image above. Does it bring to you comfort or discomfort? Most of us fear the darkness, at least to some extent, again, not knowing why. Let it be said, all irrational fear is overcome with a courage to experience it. Look again, and you will see and know of the persistent light that underlies all the darkness. Nobody is going to harm us, not within the inner life, or in the outer world. Remember to trust, and you will begin to see the Plan. The darkness welcomes you, and within the darkness, the light will be shown as the only reality that is. You will begin to sense the absolute knowing. There is nothing to fear.

My fellow students, trust your meditative process. Within your meditation, don’t try to do something, or see something, or hear something. Just be there. There is nothing you must do, only an opportunity to receive that which you need. Observe, and be patient along the way. More often than not, you will only experience the darkness, the unknown. Remember to trust the persistent light that is always there. If you have seen and experienced it once before, it will show itself again. You see, we push away what we wish to understand and experience with an undue and unnecessary effort. To see the darkness, is to experience first hand the quieting of the mind. If all that you accomplish is a momentary establishment of peace, then all has indeed been accomplished. Leave the questions behind, with all the will you can muster. If you require an answer, and you surely deserve one, it will be shown to you in your outer living. This is spiritual living in all practicality. If you recall, all light is born of darkness. All knowing comes from the unknown. We create light from this place. We discover the persistent light and bring it forward to a waiting world, to a waiting humanity. Once we have learned to be comfortable with the darkness, for we must acknowledge the darkness has brought to us peace, can we bring the same to the outer world? Yes, we must, for this is how light works. Perhaps the darkness, and the light within this darkness, allows us to bring forward a clean slate so needed in the world today. In this way, we apply the light to the darkness so that all may see. Humanity is in need of a new beginning. Light is movement in the outer world, a fresh start, an ability and opportunity to proceed. It is an awareness of imminent change. From darkness, to light, to change, to peace. This is what we have to offer. The meditative process is in full motion, proceeding toward its inevitable completion. The inner life and the outer life become one.

An interlude is upon us. A simple pause, a period of resting. It is a space between darkness and light. It gives us time to process what has already happened. This is the light revealing the wisdom we must integrate. After this brief interlude, we trust that the Plan will continue to unfold. We gently encourage others not to fear the darkness, we comfort them, for the darkness is simply an indication of what is possible, of what is coming. The persistent light is the ability to create. Then, the darkness is gone. It has served its purpose. Quiet first, then awareness, and creation naturally follows. We pause to remind ourselves of intent. In this way, all the noise is quieted and indeed becomes irrelevant. The persistent light is a persistent Plan. It is our Spiritual Hierarchy providing us with the opportunity to receive what we need. Of this, we need not worry, for the Plan is what has always been and will always be. Our work is done, now we allow.

My friends, meditate, contemplate, and then just be. Be the persistent light. Periods of silence follow periods of activity. Breathe in and breathe out. This period of interlude provides us with the opportunity for renewed activity. We assimilate, we recognize that we know more, and we can therefore proceed less fettered. Look at the image above again and feel comforted and at peace. Have absolute surety of the Plan, even if it is unknown. I would remind you that you do know something. What we already have is always enough. See the light that exists at the center. Our Spiritual Hierarchy lives there, and it is that same light which brings them here. There is no empty space between, for love is the essential unity that lies between all things. Fear and doubt dissolve in the darkness, then, for only the persistent light is known. Only the persistent light is seen. A brand-new world, a brand-new reality, awaits. It is we who bring the light, it is we who give it a place to be.

All my love and support, be well
