“Light Is Awareness”

What is light exactly, and what is its purpose? Well, light is awareness, and its purpose is to increase our understanding. The real essence of light is not to just see in a physical way, for even the blind can see. What it really concerns is our level of perception, or what we know to be true about our reality. My friends, if our desire and intent is to know more, so we can be more comfortable and successful in life, we must allow the light to show us the way. The process of light working out, if I could use such a phrase, all happens within our mind, as this is where all things are created. It is the inner light that helps us see, know and understand. So, you may be asking yourself, where does this light come from, and how can I use it more effectively to achieve this greater understanding? Remember, in order to discover the truth about reality, we must first understand how light operates in the mind, and from this inner perspective, we can better understand why our life and world are the way they are. There are basically two kinds of light available to us, and understanding what they are and how to make them work together will indeed help us achieve greater awareness. Let’s take a look.

The Light of the Physical Self

The light of our physical self is the accumulated knowledge we have acquired through the living process itself. What we believe to be true, then, is based on what we experience. The acquisition of knowledge through experience helps us understand how life and the world works, and this obviously creates for us a level of comfort and confidence in all that we do. We also know that things change, and new challenges emerge, in which we must learn even more in order to achieve that level of comfort we seek. What happens, however, is that we wish to always remain comfortable, and attempt to hang on to what we already know. When we are confronted with challenge and difficulty, we tend to approach finding a solution through our past experience, rather than be open to new ways of thinking and living that better suit our current needs. The light of our physical self is therefore somewhat limited in what it can provide. It only knows what has already been discovered and applied within our life. We know that life is always forward moving, and there is always something more to learn. The state of our universe is one of constant change, so if we are to be successful in seeking improvement, we must incorporate a higher kind of light or awareness, that which the soul offers.

The Light of the Soul

If we allow ourselves to know of a higher level of consciousness and awareness available to us, we can grow into this greater understanding we seek. This higher light is the wisdom of our soul, and it can only be found in the higher regions of our mind. Our goal is to develop a rapport with this higher part of ourselves, and this can be accomplished in different ways, including our meditations and prayers, our attempts to become inspired, and with the desire to move beyond what we currently believe to be true. This higher kind of awareness involves a different faculty of the mind known as intuitive perception, which, in essence, is a more complete understanding. We all have those times when we suddenly know something is real or true, but we cannot prove it from our past experience. The lightbulb goes off in our head, and we say, “now I see”. We are therefore capable of knowing what is right in any given moment. This inner knowing comes from that higher part of ourselves. It is our soul that is aware of a higher truth, what the plan and purpose of our life is, and what is possible for us in terms of growth and change. Because the development of a higher, intuitive faculty is new to us, it seems like our imagination at first. You see, the lower part of mind, or the analytical mind, is what we’re used to in terms of perceiving reality, and how we gather the information we need to apply in our life. To build or create something new, however, we must imagine what things could be like using the creative imagination, also known as visualization. We’re already involved in the process of achieving higher awareness! The same process is involved in our attempt to connect with our soul and its higher plan. A developed intuitive mind, coming from the soul, is capable of perceiving what is called “the eternal now”. This is how past, present, and future become one. It’s also how we know what is correct or incorrect about our current reality, and what is available to us in order to make things work better. Again, this all happens in the mind.

The Raincloud of Knowable Things

The part of ourselves that brings the two lights or modes of perception together is the mind. Our mind is known as the “mediating principle”, or the part of us that brings together who we know ourselves to be as a physical being, and who we are becoming, that higher part of us known as the soul. Technically, it is the soul that is the “Divine Mediator” between the will and purpose of God, and our physical life and world. But it is the soul’s light that shines upon our mind, and it is here we create our reality. The soul indicates to us what the higher plan is, and then, we seize upon it and bring it forward, through a sometimes long process, making it part of our reality. This is how we can know our individual purpose, by participating and cooperating with this higher plan. The central purpose within the mind of God is where everything that has happened, is happening now, and will ever happen is found. My friends, this level of perception is a long way off for us, but we can always know the part we can bring forward now. This is our goal, to listen to and become aware of the soul’s intent. We are well on our way. Whatever is appropriate for us to understand and apply in our life is available in “The Raincloud of Knowable Things”. This place of knowledge and wisdom is located in the higher recesses of our mind, where our soul has its home. With practice, diligence, and patience, we can learn how to access this and provide ourselves with the opportunity to improve our individual lives and the greater world we live in.

The Two Lights Become One

When the essential relationship with our soul becomes fully developed, the two lights become one. We have achieved the acquisition of a higher level of awareness and have learned how to apply it in our lives practically, to create positive, productive and necessary change. Our purpose is revealed to us, and we can now fully participate in the plan. This is a new perception of wholeness and, my friends, it involves much more than just ourselves. It involves everyone and everything. We all want to know what the truth really is. If we want this truth revealed, then we must put forth the effort. There is nothing to fear, all we have to do is try. When enough of us have brought forward the light and love of our very own souls, our lives and our world will indeed be much different and, dare I say, better. What a magnificent and wonderful reality it will be!

Walk the path toward greater light where all truth is revealed

The soul’s light will remove all obstacles, showing us the way

All my love and support, be well
