The reality that more advanced souls will be incarnating within humanity over the next many years is something we are preparing for today. The fact that the World Teacher will be joining us here in our physical world one day in the near future is something we have only hoped for until now. The reality of an existent Spiritual Hierarchy may be a bit of a stretch for many of you, but deep within your own heart, the truth of it all can be found. The time has come for all of us to give some appropriate thought and attention to these matters, as it is entirely up to us how we want our lives and world to be. My friends, a much bigger reality awaits us if we could but allow it to be so. We have nothing to fear with this imminent spiritual movement, for we will not be taken over by something we have no capacity to understand, nor will any ideology or way of living be imposed upon us. The very idea that we long for peace and understanding has allowed this opportunity to present itself in the first place. It is something we all want and need, whether consciously realized or not. Some of us are better prepared for this great happening, for we understand the importance of love as a necessary component to our lives, and we also have developed wisdom within our minds that indicates to us wise choice and action. It should be clear to us that because we may find ourselves a little further along than others, we have incurred a great responsibility to show others what we have discovered.
The question naturally arises in your mind, “What can we do to prepare for this potentiality? How can we make this a better place for these great souls to be?” Well, my friends, it is just that. We make the world a better place for ourselves to be. We are already well on our way, and as we intend to improve our way of life, a better way of life for every human being, we will show our readiness through simple attempts and practical actions of every kind. It is merely our effort that will allow these advanced souls to come and show us what needs to be done. Do you see how the proving of a higher, spiritual reality becomes unnecessary when we notice our own desire to improve our condition? It is our ability to create the changes we need that is the goal itself. The appearance of advanced souls, or the World Teacher himself, would simply be an added benefit, a bonus if you will, to these efforts on our part. What this great movement forward really involves is the appearance of our own higher self. It is a higher, more inclusive wisdom, and a greater ability to love fully that will become ours. The return of the Enlightened Ones will naturally and necessarily follow.
The very best way we can prepare for all this is to see ourselves as part of a greater whole. We are not here to simply serve ourselves, or learn how to acquire what we feel we need at an individual level. Although this pursuit is an essential part of our development, it must be seen as only the first step. The next step is to share what we have created with others, so that all may benefit. Our self-discovery and self-understanding belong to the world. The “Principle of Sharing”, and the reality of “One Unified Whole”, must be demonstrated before our next phase of spiritual opportunity can be presented. We must also fully remember the reality of freewill to always indicate our destiny. The Great Ones cannot decide for us. We can, however, rest assured that when we give it all we’ve got, they will respond in kind. This is universal law.
To adequately prepare ourselves, we will continue working on the same things that are still before us. We can take this time to understand that we are doing well, we are moving forward, but there is always more that can be done. The following are five themes we can be dedicated to in our journey toward the greatness we seek. We have discussed these at length over the last few years, so let’s consider here a brief summary as a gentle, but firm reminder of what we are indeed attempting to accomplish together. It is a spiritual adventure in which we share!
Love and Compassion
The full expression of these two things will complete our mission here. To see and experience them will indicate our success. Love is life, love is purpose. Compassion is a necessary response to our limitations. To achieve fulfillment in the expression of these living forces, they must be expressed toward ourselves first, for it has been said, “We cannot give what we do not already have”. Each human being has the same requirement.
Equality and Freedom
Can we view these essential developments as synonymous? I believe we can, for one leads to the other. There is no human soul who has found freedom or equality if even one human soul remains on the outskirts. If we are born of freedom, if we come from a place where all are equal, then we must show this to be true where we live and breathe. This is our direction, and we must choose to lead one another in the same direction. It is, my friends, our dream to see sameness in all others, for then we are truly not alone.
Healing
We are now in the process of letting go of what has already been accomplished. If we seek only to recreate what has already been established, whether good or bad, we have no hope to create what we currently need. If we made mistakes in our past, and we surely have, what purpose does it serve to judge what could not possibly be understood just yet? Our opportunity to learn and grow is always something we can count on. To be able to trust ourselves and our process, we must allow for change. To truly heal from our past, no matter how traumatic, we must decide that it is over. There is no person, including ourselves, who cannot be forgiven. There is no atrocity that cannot be changed. It is our adherence to, and judgment of, mistakes made that guarantees their repeating. This we must acknowledge so that the wisdom gleaned can be used to build anew. Our choice has always been a simple one. We can let go and move on, or we can remain as we are. We must understand today, however, that any temporary suffering we have encountered along the way can no longer be viewed as an adequate impetus to choose correctly right now. Life will indeed march on, and we can come along for the ride into a better future for all with a required cooperation.
Humility
I think we all agree that we can no longer assume we know the difference between right and wrong. If we had something figured out, we would not find ourselves in such a precarious predicament. The world has the potential to be destroyed, right under our feet. We continue to mistreat one another because of some insidious fear we cannot explain. What we must realize now is that the goal is not to become the abuser in order to avoid being abused. This may be the greatest misunderstanding we could possibly create. Is humility a recognition of innate and inescapable selfishness? No, it is not. True humility is a recognition of our need to move beyond it. Although we have indeed developed a greater love, a greater intelligence, a greater ability to work together responsibly, we still seem to be lacking. If humility is in fact the great teacher it is intended to be, then we can ask and allow. Perhaps it has come time for us to acknowledge that our great material success has proved less than fulfilling. Perhaps the game we continue to play is our refusal to accept that we have only discovered one small part of ourselves. That’s ok, we have done well. Humanity is nowhere close to being considered a lost cause. What we do need to realize is that we are just beginning to understand who we really are. This is humanity’s time.
Open Mindedness
Our mind is one of the greatest gifts we have been given. Our mind brings us every possible creative faculty. Whatever we believe to be possible can be ours. The quality of our life, the quality of our world, is entirely up to us. The biggest mistake we have made thus far is believing that everything will be given to us without us having to do anything. It should be clear to us this only creates victimhood and a misuse of what has been given. To turn this all around, we can see ourselves as the co-creators we are. You see, this is the glory of creation. The Creator and the created become one, all are important, all are necessary. Whatever can be dreamed of can be made real, this is our promise. The wonder of the mind of God becomes ours.
