Our spiritual development basically involves two groups, one known as the “Hierarchy of Souls” and the other being “Ourselves as Humanity”. As we have discussed, it is the higher group of knowers and teachers who wish to come forward into humanity in order to provide for us the next level of development. Although this is indeed something they clearly intend to do, and clearly something we need them to do, there are certain areas of difficulty in the implementation of this great spiritual movement. What we need to recognize is that these teachers are certainly souls of great wisdom and achievement, but they have been away from our physical world for a very long time. This in no way suggests they have been apart from us, but their means of guiding us has been from behind the scenes, through the world of ideas and the powerful, supportive love we experience within our hearts. In essence, their tools of communication thus far have been other than physical. We understand that our vehicles of expression are three, that of our physical, emotional and mental equipment. These Great Ones have left these modes of expression far behind in order to pursue their own higher development. You can see, therefore, that even they are encountering great difficulty and stress in creating this mutual spiritual expansion. Rather than go into great detail here, it became necessary to include a third group of individuals to help this process move forward. This third group is called “The New Group of World Servers”. It is a mediating group of souls to help bridge the apparent gap between the higher and lower, or the Hierarchy and Humanity. Basically, the purpose of this group is to “step down” the energy and wisdom of these Great Ones, so that what they intend to impart to humanity can be more easily and readily accepted and understood. The means by which humanity is to take its next major step forward into greater light and love has now been established. It is the purpose of this “middle group” of world servers to assist in the preparation that humanity is now undertaking, to provide a pathway for the return of our Spiritual Hierarchy to the physical world. The work of these three groups, Humanity, Hierarchy, and the New Group of World Servers, together in mutual cooperation, makes everything possible. This is our guarantee of success. My friends, it is really one group and one work, is it not? We’re all necessary and have our part to play.
I thought we would take a little time today and discuss the role and purpose of the New Group of World Servers, and to indicate to you, my friend, that you are indeed part of this group. Just relax, don’t worry! I will help you understand and be comfortable with your particular role. We can begin by accepting the fact that this group consists of all varying levels of understanding, or conscious realization. So, no matter where you find yourself on the path, you have something to provide, regardless of your current level of understanding and participation. No matter how small you feel, what you have to give has equal value as any other. So, with all these varying levels of understanding and conscious participation, what do we all have in common? Well, we have the fever of goodwill, do we not? We love our fellow human beings to the best of our ability, and we are aware of the need to be of help in some way, to not only alleviate our own suffering, but to help others do the same. We see the problems that exist in humanity and the world, and we intend to create solutions. Spiritual service is simple, my friends, don’t make it complicated. Again, a basic understanding of what can be given and done is enough. What you can realize for yourself is there are many others who stand alongside you. We are not alone. What you must identify more than anything else is the love you have developed in your heart. As you look around, the darkness you see in the world, and in your fellow human beings, gives you much pain and frustration. It is overwhelming at times, and we often render ourselves futile. Remember, however, a continued commitment to your love and caring will light the way of others, and the darkness of the world will be dissipated and eventually removed. As much as you may believe that you can work alone, it is unlikely you will be successful without the help of your fellow brothers and sisters, until you have a more fully developed sense of group purpose. It becomes important, then, to find a group of others you can be with and work with. Together, you can choose something from the multitude of issues that confront humanity and be of service in some way, even a small way. One of the goals of the New Group of World Servers is to help dissipate the fog of fear and misconception that envelops humanity. There are many elements to this fog. It consists of what are called glamours, or limitations, and can be understood to be the obstructions to an accurate perception of reality, and a simple, peaceful, and productive human living. It is, in many ways, our emotional attachments to the unreal and irrelevant that contribute to this massive fog. We burn away this fog with the light and love that exists inside us. We must help each individual find the same light and love that we have found.
Within this world service, in which we participate as a group, we move humanity into a brighter future. Every personal issue or problem we can overcome must happen first. Each obstacle we remove, helps every other human being do the same. As we free ourselves, we create opportunity for humanity at large to clear away the obstructions that do not allow us to see. Every person has a responsibility in these matters and can indeed assist in creating the peace and freedom we seek. As we continue to see and experience ourselves as equal parties in this venture, the love we require develops even further. And, my friends, this will create a clearer pathway and an easier go of things for the Great Ones, who have every intent to join us here. In this way, they need us just as much as we need them. Will we cooperate and do whatever it takes? We need to say yes today. An understanding of the constant, mutual interplay that exists within the creative process will ensure our success.
In part one of this piece, I want to give you two keynotes that will help you achieve. These keynotes are something you can think about and hopefully meditate upon. They will help you feel more connected to this greater group I speak of and provide for you a sense of ease as you move forward. This will apply to what you are working on at a personal level in terms of issue, and to the development of a group effort and purpose that will assist you in the whole process. Here they are.
Service as “Joyful Necessity”
My intent is to keep the comments short concerning these keynotes, and this for two reasons. The first is quite simple. You must do your own work, my friends. What this entails is searching for your own meaning. In this way, you will discover what you understand about these keynotes, and thereby know how to practically apply that meaning in your life. The second is bringing forward a basic willingness. All we have to do is try. Begin, and momentum becomes yours. A joyful experience then becomes possible. So, when we think about service, we normally view it as a lot of work. Work is exhausting! However, if we consider work to simply be an activity of sharing, then we find our joy. The necessity of service is nothing more than seeing what is needed. The reality is that we do not want any human being to be in pain. We do not want our friends, family, or even a stranger to feel lost in darkness. If we remind ourselves of the love and light we already have, we notice our natural inclination to give it, even if it be of small measure. Spiritual service is not a hard thing, but it is necessary. Start with yourself and begin working on a smaller issue. Once you find a solution, teach someone else what you have discovered. More difficult issues will arise, the ones that envelop us all. We can remember the process is the same. In this way, even the difficulty becomes less difficult.
Immovable Intent
What each of us needs more than anything is to discover the purpose of group work at its very own center. The hint I am able to give you here is that this center is not one other person, nor is it ourselves. The purpose at the center can be defined as an “Immovable Intent”. What we intend is to create something that not only helps the group we find ourselves in, but something that helps the entire group called humanity. We have our contribution to make. This is spiritual will. We understand “spiritual will” to apply to us at an individual level as “willpower”. We know that once we decide something in our minds, and couple it with the love within our hearts, there is nothing we cannot accomplish. We set a goal at an individual level and intend to make it happen. We must fully understand that when we are creating what we want, we cannot pursue it at any cost, for we cannot trample on others. If we do, we have lost sight of any real purpose or value, we have lost our way. We can see the importance of utilizing spiritual will only within the immovable intent of the greater group, for we see the damaging effects of personal will all throughout the world. It is the purpose of the New Group of World Servers to establish group work, based on group need, in all human endeavor. What benefits all benefits each.
