The purpose of the World Teacher is to advance our spiritual understanding. His goal, for all of us, is to help us see who we essentially are, a soul full of light, love, and purpose. He wants each of us to know, beyond any doubt, we are much more than we believe ourselves to be. His role is not just a spiritual one, for He is also the greatest educator and healer of humanity. What He wants all of us to understand is that we must fully accept that we heal ourselves, through an active participation with our experience, and to know that our growth is wholly dependent on our ability to see love as the means of understanding our true nature. What we must accept, above and beyond everything else, is that we do in fact save ourselves through this process. Although the World Teacher does have abilities far greater than our own, He cannot do the work for us that we must do for ourselves. We find our way, a way for all, through trial and error, and with our simple willingness, we will find that way and be at peace. This is our promise, a promise given to all of us by the Ones who have come before us, by the Ones who have achieved. As lonely and difficult as our path can be, we must never forget that He, and the many other Wise Ones, are alongside us, always. What we can allow and accept today, my friends, is that through His life and teachings, we are shown who we are and what we are capable of as soon as we’re ready to choose it. This is our guarantee of success. This is our destiny.
There have been many misunderstandings about the savior of humanity, and who the World Teacher is. What we must know, and thereby resolve all remaining mystery, is that there is only one spiritual teacher who educates humanity in any world period. Our current Spiritual Leader, known to Christians as the Christ, is the only one. It must be understood by us today that He is not the founder of Christianity alone, but is in fact the founder of all religions, philosophies, perspectives, and ways of life. It is the World Teacher who represents humanity, and it is He or She who represents the One Life from which each of us is born. There have been many representatives of this One Central Life who have come before, and many will follow. If we are to find real spiritual truth, we must recognize it in every human being, and in every form of life that has ever been and will ever be, for there is only one reality. If all the various spiritual teachings are to have any real value, if any spiritual teacher is to be understood, then we must see them as only aspects of one greater whole, of which, we are also a part. Do you see, my friends, how our confusion and misunderstanding is unnecessary and, more importantly, temporary? We still find our way, and we will be given understanding when we’re ready to receive it. We have nothing to fear.
The role of the World Teacher is to help us understand the need for an inclusive approach to our lives. Everyone is welcome in the soul’s journey. What we are learning how to do here is create what we need. Let it be said, the best creations do indeed benefit all. The biggest problem we have, as you well know, is that we have a tendency to create and acquire only for ourselves. This is why fear and hatred are still so prevalent today. It allows us to believe in the idea of separateness, you see. The World Teacher wishes us to know that our physical life and world are only a small part of our actual reality. If we are willing, just a little willing, to entertain and work with the idea that we are much more, then we will begin to relax and trust. In this way, we can share what is available, both within and without. My friends, if love is all there is, then it is not possible to hoard it. Unfortunately, we continually fight among ourselves in a desperate attempt to get the most out of our experience here because of the false belief this is all there is. Do you see the futility, do you see the tragedy? Yes, we have much work ahead of us, but we must be entirely patient with ourselves. We will get there, but we’re going to have to get busy sooner rather than later. We have done many great things here, and this we can acknowledge. What we must also fully acknowledge is that we have created quite a mess as well. If we created it, then we understand we have the capacity to clean it up. We can get a wonderful start by adopting the belief that the “One Self” expresses through each of us with Divine qualities. We are God here in flesh, and each of us is a part that makes the whole of God be whole. A glorious and magnificent creation indeed! In order for us to fully participate, we must know today that the purpose of the Christ is not to indicate to us that He is special, for He has no such need to be special. It would follow, then, that none of us are special either. Humility must be our guide to freedom. We must accept that the role of the World Teacher is not, nor has it ever been, to die for our sins, for no such sin has ever been committed, nor has any such death occurred. We can accept that no religious institution has the power to define us, only the power of truth can do that. Have we made some big mistakes, have we occasionally lost our way? We have, but we can never know how to do things until we try. God has already forgiven us, the Christ has also forgiven. What has not happened, is we have not forgiven ourselves. The World Teacher encourages us, always, to move forward unimpeded. This is the spiritual truth He wants us to own today.
Before we part ways, my friends, there is one more thing we must realize if we are to be successful in our journey. The world needs a little love, the world needs the light of understanding. If we are to give this to others, for this is our intended goal, then we must receive some for ourselves. Our life journey, who we know ourselves to be, has come to a halt because we refuse to let go of the past, and all the self-judgment the past contains. Be free, my fellow brothers and sisters, for freedom is the path forward. Offer this freedom to everyone you meet today, and we will together see greatness achieved. The message of the World Teacher, the gift of the Christ, has always been a simple one.
Yesterday, today, and tomorrow, we celebrate the life and teachings of the World Teacher, the Christ. We know that He comes from a place of Oneness, for duality is but a temporary illusion. We know that He is made of the substance of love, for love is all we are, and love is all there is. We know that He is a being of light, for He is fully aware of the reality of eternal life. This eternal life belongs to all of us. Thank you, our friend, for loving us and showing us the way. May peace be with you, always, and may we offer you our humblest gratitude. And so it is, and so let it be.
