Welcome to the third phase of the Spiritual New Year! In the month of June, in the great sign of Gemini, we celebrate the World Teacher, the Christ. We know Him to be the highest spiritual expression of ourselves as humanity, and it is He who brings forward the quality of heart, in order that we fully understand ourselves to be love itself. As the greatest educator we have available to us, He has the goal and intent we understand our true nature, and with this understanding, we will be free and at peace. It is important to note that the World Teacher comes to us in a sign of inherent duality. Although we believe ourselves to be separate from Him, He wishes us to know, beyond any doubt, this feeling of separation is a temporary illusion created by our own minds. But, the Christ is also the greatest healer of humankind, a healer of all separation and duality, which are temporary conditions created by us through unnecessary and unfounded guilt and self-judgment. If we are to fully participate in His work and message, then we must see ourselves to be like Him. My friends, if the World Teacher is the embodiment of light, love, and compassion, and if He in fact represents us, then we must show ourselves to be the same with all willingness, humility, and indeed all effort. With a simple acceptance of our inherent potential, the reality of love will be clearly seen, and a bridge of light will be built between ourselves as human beings, and our highest spiritual self who is the Christ. His purpose will then be realized, and all separation will be dissolved forever. Certainly, this will take some time, it will require our utmost patience with ourselves, but we have nothing but these two things in each and every moment. Dearest souls, if we lack anything at all in what is required of us, it is a simple beginning. It is our time today to begin.
If we are to truly understand the World Teacher’s message today, we must see ourselves as necessary partners in the full manifestation of the Will of God. It is we who are anchors in a physical world in order that love becomes the reality in which we live, for it is we who make love a real thing where we live and breathe. Humanity is the bridge between what lies below and what lies above. To heal the gap between the two, we must be willing to heal the separation that exists in our physical world. You see, we must accept ourselves as like all others, if we are to see ourselves as like the Christ. It is what we have in common that binds us together. It is our willingness to love one another that creates the opportunity to work together in common purpose. We have the opportunity today to see each other person as an equal and necessary party in this great adventure that is upon us. If we deny the wonderful and glorious spiritual being each human being is, the bridge of light between us, and the work of the World Teacher, can never be. If each of us needs love, then we must give love to all others. If the light of understanding is upon us, then we must give of our understanding to all others. If we are to understand who the Christ is, if we are to give His life meaning and purpose, then we must simply be who we already are. The mystery ends, the illusion disappears.
My fellow companions, the greatest misunderstanding we have about ourselves, is that we have somehow been imprisoned by someone else’s doing. We believe that fear has been imposed upon us, as a punishment for a strong desire and mandate to understand ourselves, and what we have the ability to create. The freedom we long for, is a freedom to recognize that only we have created the prison we find ourselves in. This is what created the guilt, and it is guilt which keeps us separate from the truth. The painful guilt we engage in is removed when we accept that we have done it to ourselves. There is no such thing as victimhood. Once we realize this, we become responsible as the only creators of our reality. Now, the teachings of the Great One, the Christ, can begin. What He wants us to know is that we have done nothing wrong. If we accept this truth, all self-judgment ceases, for we know that all we have to do is keep going. Can we just accept the gift of love to be a willingness to try? When we fully accept the love that we are, we no longer have the desperate need to keep looking for it. If we see the same love in all others, we have no need to fear them. Our futile attempt to be perfect naturally falls away, for the perfect self, the Christ, comes alive within our very own heart.
The third phase of the Spiritual New Year is more of a personal nature, is it not? It feels more real, because the Christ is our friend and brother. If He is our friend, our companion, then every other human being is also our friend and companion. How could it be otherwise? Yes, what is needed in the world is brotherhood, sisterhood, a real and genuine friendship. This is what we have long awaited, this is the direction we are moving. If we see the Christ as some Supreme Spiritual Being, we will place Him on a pedestal, and He will therefore remain separate from us. He has always, and will always, walk alongside us, for He is one of us. We are not alone, for we are with Him, He is with us, and we are together as one humanity. An acceptance of simple and loving friendship, and a willingness to cooperate with one another, is our only requirement. Yes, the World Teacher is one of us, but He is also much more. Our greatest potential lies in Him, our greatest potential lies in ourselves. Our potential is to see ourselves as light and love, and purpose will then be revealed. We are spiritual beings of unlimited creativity. We can do and be anything. It is our nature, it is the soul, it is the Christ, in full manifestation. How beautiful our reality actually is. The manufactured prison is no longer. Let’s take a look at who and what the Christ is, by recognizing three abilities He is able to express. Abilities that we are well on our way of expressing as well.
Complete Love
My friends, I think what we’re really talking about here is unconditional love, are we not? The percentage of us who are able to express this consistently is small indeed, so we’re going to have to give ourselves a break and keep trying. A little love, in whatever way we are currently able to express it, is better than no love at all! To have our love be unconditional, we must love no matter what. This means we accept what is, we accept all others no matter how they express themselves, and let love take care of the rest. Challenging, you bet, but as we know, growth must be seen as a stretching with all effort, to expand our boundaries into greater areas of our very own selves. To see the Christ as the only one who is capable, we will never see ourselves as equally capable. He wants us to know, through a constant reassurance, that because He has achieved, we will also achieve. It should be very clear to us, the times we are unable to love are simply an indication that self-judgment has come into play for some reason. Self-love is therefore lacking, and we must be humble, step back, and not attempt to give at this time. Again, a simple acceptance that we cannot give what we do not already have allows us to be alone for a bit and make the necessary correction. Then, the love returns, and we are able to once again be who we really are. If we practice this with ourselves, when we view others, we will see the process to be the same for them. This is love expressed in all honesty, humility, and genuineness. We have every reason to succeed, for the living Christ has all intent and promise that we will. From limited love to complete love, a gradual and inevitable outcome, as we gently proceed moving forward along The Way.
Unbounded Compassion
The World Teacher has unbounded compassion, that is certain, but He did not acquire this skill magically or immediately. He also had to grow, to heal, to learn about love and how to love more. As He understood more of what love actually is, He was able to include others and help them along their way as well. You see, compassion is born of a recognition of suffering and darkness. True love, then, is an awareness of the need to bring all forward into the light and love that is the only reality. This is service, for each soul is seen and known to be part of the One. If we fail to see that the Christ has experienced what we are currently experiencing, we will never be able to trust Him. We will not believe what He has to say. We will have no intent to move forward in our own lives. What we must accept, and this acceptance will bring to us what we need, is that the Christ is an equal brother alongside us in the grand journey of life. Compassion allows us to accept all others, no matter their strife and difficulty, no matter their temporary fear, hate, and unwillingness, for the Christ has indeed shown us the journey to be the same for all. Compassion is essentially an opportunity to forgive ourselves, and to forgive all others, when it is at its most impossible. A real freedom becomes ours. Each will find the way, in their own way, in their own time. We love, we have compassion, by allowing it to happen. In the Christ, we know. In the Christ, we love. Within the work of the World Teacher, we save.
Limitless Understanding
My dearest friends, there is no way to truly understand without experience. The only reason the World Teacher knows so much, is because He has so much experience. He is our eldest brother. Can we appreciate this simple fact today? What the Christ wants us to know, is that we must speak from our own experience, no matter how limited that might be. If we are to understand ourselves, we must rest assured our understanding grows from one moment to the next. You see, if we are willing to accept ourselves as a limited self first, then the unlimited self, who is the Christ, is revealed. Our greatest misunderstanding is that we must somehow force ourselves to be perfect. The Great One says no, don’t go about it in that way. Be receptive to your imperfections, for they will lead you to the better way. Again my friends, I ask you, “How can we grow without trying?” Mistakes are simply a guidepost toward the greater understanding we seek. The Christ also continues to grow, for He knows there is always more to be had, always more to be. We can do the same. All that is required is a simple willingness. Limitless understanding doesn’t really exist, then, until we arrive at the center of the heart and mind of God. Realisitically, it’s going to take a little time and effort, but probably not as much as we currently believe. Is it possible the World Teacher, and all other Wise Ones, continue to grow and expand through us, through our experience, through what we are able to create and do? It makes the most sense to me. Perhaps this idea encourages us more, for we can know of the need to work together, to truly be together. Limitless understanding brings to us the essential awareness of One World, One Humanity, One Reality. This, the Christ knows, beyond any doubt, for He stands at the center of our Spiritual Hierarchy. It is they who work together and be together, and it is they who impart this Divine Mandate to us today. Each of us has the opportunity to help this great and beautiful reality move forward, by stepping forward ourselves. Each of us indeed has something to give, something to contribute. There is no fear in this simple action, for love impels us to move forward together, to be One. It is love that attracts us to the Christ, to others, and to the center of all that is.
The Will of God is Love
Of this, the World Teacher, the Christ, is the full embodiment
Through us, the Will of God is manifest, the love of the Christ is complete
