Purpose is being
Being is forever
My friends, we are life, and life is forever. Our purpose, therefore, is to understand ourselves as an expression of God, of the universe, of all that is. As life, we inhabit a form, for it is the form that allows an expression of the life that lies within. It is the life which is everlasting, and the form which always changes. The form, our physical self and world must continually transform then, as it is the life within which intends to express itself fully and completely. All things physical must therefore adapt and become more adequate vehicles for this indwelling life.
It is our identification with the form in which the life inhabits that indicates our problem, for the form is always in a state of constant change. My fellow souls, we attempt to hang onto that which is temporary and, unfortunately, unnecessary suffering will naturally follow. In order for us to be comfortable with who we are and what life is really about, we must know that everything in the outer physical world will always die in order to become the next better thing. This includes the beliefs and ideas we have, and the forms they take, such as our institutions and ways of living. This is what is upon today.
If we change our identification with physical life and the outer physical world to that of the indwelling life of the soul, then we can trust, and allow all things to transform into the new and better. We begin to relax, we become less fearful, for we know that we are the life that is. Again, this life is forever. It is we as souls who continually build better forms in order that the inner life, God, can come forward and be the fullest expression of itself.
It is life which is purpose, it is light which is the awareness of this purpose, and it is love which allows us to cooperate, and thereby create and be, who and what we are.
