Fellow companions, the most important thing we must understand today is that the best way has not been found yet. This reality warrants our most careful thought. Whether we consider government, religion, science, or the business world, the best way forward for all still remains unclear. That’s ok. Having said that, the path of least resistance for many human beings is the belief that the best way has been found. One size fits all, or, my way is the only way. Now, there is a best way for all to be found in every area of human living, but it lies in the future. It is something we are working toward. This brings in the importance and the validity of diversity. There are many ways. Humanity, therefore, finds itself in the area of experimentation, then, does it not? Again, we can know nothing without trying. We must have experience with all this diversity to find out what works and what does not. It’s always about the availability of choices, and the implementation of that which is chosen. We are educating ourselves, you see, through experience. This is a good thing. There is a freedom in this, friends, a freedom that each of us must have access to, a freedom each of us must explore. Let me just say, it is a divine area of creativity that belongs to all.
Let us begin by asking ourselves a simple question. If the best way had been found, then why would it need to be imposed? Clearly, if the best way had been found, it would have been chosen by all of us, and there would, of course, be no need for any such imposition. Human beings are young in their spiritual understanding, the human mind is immature and still developing, and there is unfortunately, therefore, no true honesty or humility to be found in the world today. Let us remind ourselves that the best way would be all-inclusive, it would actually work for everyone. It is a lack of group-awareness that is our problem. Again, the individual self is seen as the center. A lust for personal power, then, becomes the motivating factor in any given area of human development. A totalitarian approach to human living is born. Do we wish to be imprisoned, my friends? I don’t think so. The goal for humanity is to not allow any form of totalitarianism to even exist. It is our job to find our own way. The Masters tell us that the only reason we are oppressed is that we have allowed a spiritual laziness to dominate our lives. Now, again, there is no judgment here. The resolution to this spiritual laziness is a simple recognition of the need for us to be actively engaged in how we would like our lives and our world to be. If we are afraid, if we are unwilling to pursue life, there will always be those who will take advantage, and inevitably, oppress. The only way to defeat totalitarianism is for us to decide that totalitarianism is not the way. It is we as humanity who has the power. We have to do it. Indeed, it is we who must truly live.
There is no government, no religion, no culture or society, no philosophy or way of thinking that is currently the best way. If anyone tries to tell you otherwise, you can be assured they do not understand the actual reality in which they currently live. Again, everything we have already found, and it is much, is only partially correct. If we accept this, we will reacquaint ourselves with the freedom we have always had. Unfortunately, some believe they have found a complete correctness, and imposition will naturally follow. Imposition really comes from an innate insecurity, then, does it not? Unknowing is perfectly ok, as long as it is recognized as temporary. As an example, let’s compare two world views as they stand today, communism and democracy. Basically, these are the two extremes, if you will, to everyday human livingness. I would like to point out, first, that neither of these ways are working. If they were, they would clearly be adopted by every group, every person, and every nation in the world. Types of governance, styles of human living, are born of ideas. It is not the idea that is wrong, it is its implementation. For any ideology to work, it must be fully understood. Currently, the core principles of both communism and democracy are not understood by anyone. At the core of each of these, dear friends, exists the idea of brotherhood and sisterhood. The implication here is one of equality. Brotherhood suggests commonality in goal and objective. Equal opportunity giving way to willingness and participation. If we were to do an honest analysis of each of these types of government, we would find more similarity than difference. In essence, both ways are wrong, and both ways are right. Again, the resolution can be found in correct implementation. The incorrect implementation of communism is that the greater group is the state, but the state consists of only one individual, perhaps a few individuals, not the many. The many have no opportunity for input. The individual is given little access to the expansion of mind, love, and experience. To be oneself, to be creative and independent, is entirely frowned upon. Perhaps even more importantly, the communist nations in the world today have a state-sponsored, rather, state-imposed, media and educational system. Their citizens are therefore sheltered from the rest of the world. They are kept from their fellow human beings, kept from the truth about what is really happening in the world, different ways of being and living. This way is surely an attempt to protect, but in reality, it turns out as a way to only imprison. Any attempt to limit the innate freedom of the human spirit will always, beyond any doubt, lead to absolute and abject failure. On the other side of things, we have democracy, the other extreme. The implementation of democracy today is simply a free-for-all. The individual is given total freedom to pursue anything and everything at the cost of everyone and everything else. There is no group purpose, no group effort, no group pursuit of anything at all. This isn’t working either. In order for western democracies to get back on track to their core principles, a very serious misunderstanding must be cleared up first. That is, that capitalism is the same thing as democracy. It is not. Capitalism will eventually lead to anarchy if it is not properly policed. Are we paying attention to what is happening in the United States, my friends? Parts of Europe are coming to a saner realization of how to handle all of this, but there is still a ways to go. A full expression of capitalism has led to self-interest and selfishness only. The potential to express real democratic principles is therefore entirely squelched. There is no common ground here, no common goal can be found. If democracy is to express its real self, there must be fairness and equitability in all its processes. The self-interest of the individual will lead to the failure of the greater group to which it belongs. So, as you can see, with a little honesty, both communism and democracy, as they stand today, are wrongly implemented. We haven’t found our way yet.
Friends, we must properly educate ourselves on the various ideologies we already have available to us. There is no nation who has accomplished this. A middle ground, an area of human livingness in which all can participate, is what we must find and develop in the world today. Perhaps this middle ground is socialism. But, nobody even knows what that really is. In America, for example, socialism is equated with communism. In reality, these are entirely different in their nature. Once again, we are immersed in very serious misunderstandings and misconceptions, because we have not been properly educated. The only thing any nation or ideology has accomplished so far, is a vast brainwashing. The United States is just as guilty as Russia and China in this greatest of travesties. If you lie to your people, failure is a guarantee. You do not think much of your own people, if you do not allow them to think for themselves, and express themselves, as they see fit. And, no matter what type of governance you find yourselves in, friends, if you are not fed, and clothed, and sheltered, your government has failed you in every way. Each nation, each group, each philosophy, each religion, each way of living believes it is right. And yet, we have violence, greed, selfishness, and hatred all across the world, in every part of the world, without exception. The only way to truly defeat totalitarianism is to defeat our own limitations. Until these perceived limitations are overcome, there can be no authority, in any form, that can impose anything at all.
I will tell you, my friends, these realizations are a good thing. We are in a good place. We are in the area of experimentation within our very livingness. Having said that, we are at least halfway through this phase already. It is time for us to start making some decisions. We must have a lot of freedom, a lot of leeway, but we must also have some rules, some boundaries as well. Stubbornness has not been a very good friend. If something doesn’t work, we have to try something else. You see, we all have common sense, and we can trust that. We can agree, then, on what’s important, what we all share. The most important thing we must agree on is who is best suited to make these rules and establish these boundaries. If the rules and boundaries are human-made, then we can be assured of mistakes to be had, frailty to be at every turn, and a true reality that works for all to remain unseen and unknown. The Hierarchy, the Kingdom of Souls, knows of a better way each of us is seeking. Perhaps, together, we can find that way. We are guided. We want to be guided. In order for us to accept that guidance, and use it for our benefit, we must recognize that the Hierarchy of Souls is not a group who imposes or controls. It is not a Totalitarian State. Nor is it a group of individuals who give all power and awareness to the needs of the individual self, with no consideration of what would truly benefit the greater whole. They stand as the Middle Principle, the Principle of Love. A cohesive force is who and what they are. A working together is what they do. They are this and they are that. They receive only as an opportunity to give. Fellow companions, can the Kingdom of Souls become part of the human kingdom? Can human beings become the soul? In all certainty, yes. Totalitarianism is defeated by a full understanding of the only reality of togetherness, and a willingness of each of us to fully participate in it. We have found our way.
*To all of you disciples out there, in all your studies, whether it be traditional religious scripture, or perhaps esoteric philosophy, have you run across this idea of a divine bloodline being available to some? Isn’t this the state of human affairs today? Isn’t this the idea that has created all separateness? Indeed, every group, every race, every nation, every person believes they are special, uniquely divine. Again, how ridiculous have we become? Oh yes, all the monarchies, the rulers and dictators, the conquerors, the priests, and the like, both historically and presently, we ourselves have allowed? Is this not yet another attempt to be God transcendent? If we continue down this path, we will never know the only thing we need to know right now, that is, God immanent. The whole of God is God transcendent. There should not, therefore, be any sense of the absolute in any human thinking. This absolution, this God, is not available to any human being. It is not available to even a Master of the Wisdom. Having acknowledged that, their awareness and ability does seem to transcend ours! To recognize everyone and everything as part of God is to know of God immanent. This, we must do, if we are to truly discover ourselves. The only divine bloodline we need to be aware of is that of the World Teacher, the Christ. And, to all our friends across the world, call this spiritual being anything you would like, it does not matter. What does matter is that we accept this divine bloodline as our own. It belongs to all of us. There are no exceptions. Any person, group, race, religion, philosophy, or mode of human livingness that tries to tell you otherwise, is delusional. At best, temporarily confused. Don’t try to be special, friends, just be who you are. Who you are is already divine. Who you are is already enough. Indeed, who you are is love, for love is all there is. How divine! With this simple, important, all-inclusive truth, my friends, we have no right to kill, mame, ridicule, hate, judge, separate, impose, or justify. These must be recognized as products of a limited, totalitarian, human, mind. We clear the way by changing this mind. The totalitarian mind transforms into the inclusive mind. It indicates the new way. It indicates success. We can do it!
Thank you, dear friends. May love, joy, and wisdom always be yours.
