“Outlook for 2022”

A book 5178205 1920 (1)

The beginning of a new year has arrived! Take a few moments today, sit down, take a deep breath and relax. How do you want your year to go? How do you view your life and the world you’re living in? If you feel as though you have a lot on your plate, you are not alone. If things haven’t turned out how you planned so far, that’s ok. Perhaps it’s time to try something new. All we have to do is acknowledge what is and realize there is a better way. There really is nothing that cannot be changed. This, we often forget. We can begin 2022 with a commitment to improve our life in a realistic and practical way. We can also accept the understanding that our efforts to improve ourselves will indeed improve the conditions of humanity and the world we’re living in. What we do or do not do as an individual can and does have a real impact on everything else. There is never a need to feel helpless, hopeless, or powerless. We are going to be ok. Having said that, let’s be honest about the fact that things will continue to be challenging for everyone this year. We must remember that we do have what it takes to be successful, and our success will be determined by our willingness to work together. Let’s take a look.

Exhaustion and Frustration

Oh, boy! Just when we think we’re making a little headway, we seem to take a step back. This is a good thing because we want to get it right. Believe it or not, we are moving forward no matter how things look right now. Most of us have a lot to contend with in our personal lives alone, but we have what appears to be chaos happening all across the world, and we have to find a way to deal with that as well. What we need is to find that proper balance. It’s very important to realize that our first priority is always ourselves. Although it’s equally important to be aware of what is happening in the outside world, we have to let it be on the sidelines to a certain extent in order to maintain a healthy level of sanity. Be practical and be realistic in your approach. It really is as simple as doing the best we can in our own life. When we have the time, energy and willingness to give or be of help in some way, then go ahead. The reality is that the entire world has a lot on its plate, hence our exhaustion. It’s ok, and quite frankly beneficial, to take a break once in a while and spend some time alone. This “alone time” is not only necessary, but can also be our most productive time. Make the time! Things are most definitely moving very quickly, so hang on for the ride. The changes happening in the world will eventually provide for all of us what we need and long for, so don’t give up just yet. We are strong and we care. Take care of yourself first and the world will follow.

The Covid-19 Dilemma

It appears as though the chaos surrounding Covid-19 will continue this year. The overall perspective on this issue is that the majority of us are cooperating, and this is a good thing. Unfortunately, this tenacious bug will continue to be something we have to contend with for quite some time. The reasons for this virus may not be available to us yet, but at least we have a scientific and medical community helping us out with a vaccination. The information we are receiving has certainly been confusing at times, but these people are providing what is known as it becomes known to the best of their ability, so let’s give them a break and appreciate their hard work. I realize how frustrating it is that there are people who refuse to cooperate and are making things a little more difficult for those of us that are. Unfortunately, we cannot change this simple fact. To be hateful and resentful would not be helpful, however. The honest reality is that there are going to be those who will never get the vaccine. We’re going to have to be ok with that and move on. We must always remember that we cannot control or make decisions for others. Let them go. This virus has given many of us an opportunity to show who we are as human beings. Love and compassion are always possible. There is never a need to feel resentful about sacrifice. This is also a part of our nature and is in fact something we are capable of. We’re going to get through this.

Our Political Dilemma

Are you sick to death about what is happening in the political world? I understand because I certainly am. There is no area of human endeavor in need of transformation than there is here. This is not an American problem, but a worldwide problem. We are not alone. As much as we would like to forget about all of it, we cannot afford to do so. If we don’t pay attention and make the correct decisions at this time, our lives will be negatively affected for generations to come. For those of you who are reading these words from other parts of the world, I can only speak to American political life. I can, however, make the correct assumption that the same is happening in your country as well. We have already discussed these issues at length throughout the previous year, so I’ll keep it brief. The simple fact of American politics is that the Republican Party works for the wealthy and the corporate world. There is nothing else to understand. This is indeed the most critical time for us thus far, so we must stay actively engaged. Every American person needs to ask themselves one question, today. What do you think life is like for a Russian, Chinese, or even North Korean person? If you don’t think their political reality can happen here in the United States, you are not only naive, but not paying attention at all. Do we not remember and appreciate what life was like for our ancestors? Are we unaware of the reasons why Democracy came into being? We may not be able to know for sure what life was like centuries ago, but we can do a little research, a little reading, or even watch some factually based news. Do we want to go way back into the past and recreate those conditions once again? We are well on our way if we don’t take action and make the correct decisions about our future today. If we choose to look the other way, our reality will be one of plutocracy influenced by an insidious theocracy. What this means is that a small group of individuals will have almost all the money and resources available, and the majority of us will have absolutely nothing. What it will also mean is that a few individuals on the Religious Right, who have almost no understanding of what God or the greater universe are all about, will tell us what is right and wrong and how we are going to live our lives. Been there, done that. For those of you who are not super-wealthy, but well-off, I say this. Your money and things will not protect you from being impacted by an autocracy. At some point, hopefully now, we will have to decide if it is money or freedom that has the priority. We can all have a good life. We can all have a better future. It’s up to us. Humanity has plenty of experience with “minority rule”. Let’s continue fighting for Democracy and see what it brings us.

What’s Up for Humanity

Does the future look bleak for humanity? Not by any stretch of the imagination! We are about to experience a big part of what life is really all about and how our world can actually be. Our struggle and suffering have the purpose of creating and establishing equality and freedom in every way. This is our spiritual reality. There has never been a better time to love and care about our fellow human beings. We can begin today. The harsh reality for us is one of responsibility. We know what we need to do. We have to take care of our environment and our planet or none of us will survive. We have the skills and technology to make things right, so let’s begin today. We are well aware of the need to have a harmonious relationship with the plant and animal kingdoms, for all life is an integral part of the entire system. It is a glorious and beautiful world we live in, we just need to appreciate and care. Each of us is important and have our part to play. The most important thing for us to realize is that we are not alone, we are together. We have one another, and we are not as different as we might suspect. We create our life and our world in every moment. To be selfish and apathetic isn’t going to get us there. Let’s decide today that love is our reality.

For the Spiritual Student

Hey, you guys, I know you’re out there! Big energies will continue to come through this year, so buckle up! Let this energy ground in your heart and flow out to humanity and the world. Let it go, though, don’t hang on to it. There’s a big push for self-honesty, so get out of your own way. A really nice space is available in your meditations and prayers, so make yourselves available. Just sit in simple peace and beingness. There’s nothing to do, no questions to ask. Bring that sense of balance forward into your physical life. Be keenly aware of the political happenings, but don’t get too involved at a personal level. Holding a space is enough. As difficult as it has been and as difficult as it will continue to be, we must remain objective. Release yourself from the attachment to outcome, or you may have a hard time surviving. We can do this! We are doing a good job, and this must be acknowledged. Of course, make every effort to simplify your life, and you will find a sense of ease. The “old school” approach to the work is falling away, so be open to new and better ways. There has never been a more important time to become the Aquarian teacher!

Happy New Year and all my love and support. Stay safe and be well
