In times of great change, it is understandable we would have doubts about our ability to make the correct decisions. Our acquired wisdom, however, suggests that we have always somehow gotten through. So, why not keep going? My friends, we must trust ourselves and know that we are creating a better way. It is never asked of us to disregard everything we already know, and start completely over, for the wisdom we have would serve no purpose. Our past experience would mean nothing. But, if we believe what has already been is all there is, our wisdom limits itself unduly and unnecessarily. True wisdom, therefore, is an awareness of our past as a foundation of which we can build upon. As difficult as it may be to accept, the creative process is never over! To be truly wise, then, we must allow change to be the mechanism that guides us through this creative process, to build the present, to build the future.
It is true that we have a natural desire to always seek a better way. It is equally true we have an impending need to move forward. We open our minds to possibility, and choices then become available. But, we must make a decision in order to create that required forward movement. We fear making the wrong decision, but I will tell you, making no decision at all would be much worse. Again, if we trust the fact that we have already discovered much of what we need to know, it is unlikely we would choose something that would destroy our very existence! If you recall, we cannot know everything we need to know before we take the leap. So, my friends, we’re going to have to make our best guess! When we want to change something, for we wish to create that better way, we take hold of what we already know and pair it with how we would like it to be. Then, we give it a go and see what happens. There is no other way to fully engage the creative process. If we make a mistake, if it doesn’t work out, we can change our mind and choose something else. If we are wrong, nothing has been lost, you see, for we have merely eliminated one of the possibilities. It is our willingness to make a mistake that eliminates the fear that is standing in our way. With trust and practice, the next time we need to make a decision, it will be all that much easier, all that much faster.
We doubt ourselves, because we falsely believe that whatever we do, whatever we decide, will be forever. Remember, the only guarantee we have in life is that all things will eventually change. My friends, the reality of this simple fact brings to us a great freedom, for no matter what happens, it, too, will also change. The logical approach to dealing with that pesky doubt, then, is to try, and try again. If we have truly learned from our past, we will have no fear, for we have the opportunity today to choose something else. It is only our attempt that really matters. Let what follows unfold, and then we will see where we are going. If we continue choosing the same things that have not worked, then we have entered the realm of insanity. To choose something else, we are creating the better, no matter how it turns out. Those who choose to live in the past are not exercising the wisdom that is their divine right. This is death. This is destruction. Those who choose to live choose the creative process, and creation is always a moving forward. With our love and compassion, we do carry those who cannot carry themselves. It is this decision of which we have no doubt. An educated guess, absolutely, for this is wisdom gleaned.
When in doubt, make your best guess!
In this way, a better way will surely be found
Choosing nothing, by living in the past, no way can ever be found
The freedom of choice, the freedom to create, the freedom to live
This is our best guess, indeed, what is upon us today
All my love and support, be well
