The forces of darkness have reigned in our world for a long time now. What does this mean to us? So far, we have unfortunately been unwilling to acknowledge our own lower nature, which has allowed it to control us unnecessarily. It has been said that “knowledge is power”, and this is important because it is our understanding and awareness that brings us the ability to choose. If we deny the bad, we have no opportunity to choose the good. In other words, to say, “this is not who we are” only reinforces our unwillingness to accept all parts of ourselves. We know that the forces of darkness and the forces of light will find their expression in some form. Our goal, then, would be to decide which of these we want to operate through us. We are not the forces themselves, but a channel or vehicle for them. We can own the darkness by accepting it. Likewise, we are also light, love, and goodness. Then we can say, “this is who we are becoming”. This is a much more accurate and honest statement. We in no way have denied anything, but simply acknowledged our desire and intent to move forward.
If we return to the reality that all forms of energy, whether good or bad, will find their way somehow, we have the opportunity to accept their expression within first. Otherwise, they will find their expression without. We must remember that once we own things, then we can direct them. If we deny, things will happen to us in the outside world. It is here where we have much less control, and we will have lost our essential purpose as well. This is unfortunately the reality we see before us today. It is our unwillingness to understand and accept ourselves that creates a “plausible deniability” and a false belief of victimhood. The truth is, my friends, humanity holds itself hostage. So, let’s take a look at a couple ways in which we can release ourselves from this self-induced imprisonment and become the creators and directors we are!
The Ability to Think for Oneself
We can agree that the majority of human beings have the ability to think. That’s not the issue or problem. The problem exists in our belief that certain people outside us know more than we do, and therefore have some inherent ability or right to lead us. What we’re really doing, then, is allowing them to do just that. For practical purposes, we can call this “spiritual laziness”. We are in essence letting other people think for us and, most importantly, act for us. To a certain extent, we allow our leaders to act on our behalf due to time and necessity, but as things stand now, many of them do not act within our best interest. It seems to me, then, we have two choices. We can either tell them what we want and demand they follow up, or we can become leaders ourselves. The choice we can no longer allow is to remain apathetic and thereby do nothing at all. The very tired and ineffective “blame game” must be given its proper burial. We can handle things in a different way. We are learning how to think for ourselves and do for ourselves. This is how we take the power back that belongs to us. Then we can no longer say, “life happens to me, I have no control”. Victimhood is a temporary illusion.
Power Has No Power without Willingness
The forces of darkness and light are part of our reality. They both exist within every individual. I think most of us are aware that evil or darkness isn’t some person with horns standing beside us with a pitchfork. The real essence of darkness is limitation. Limitation is provided by a lack of awareness. Limitation is motivated by fear. We can acknowledge, and must accept, that in these modern times of ours, evil manifests itself in greed, hatred, and a lack of cooperation. We can also see the forces of light to manifest themselves in our ability to love and meet together on common ground. To say that we have no power over these forces, or any ability to understand them, or any ability to use them properly, is entirely false. These opposing forces are within our control in terms of what we allow and do not allow. Evil has no say in our truth and integrity unless we say it is so. Conversely, light and love have no ability to help us unless we let them. Power is available for our use. It really then becomes about decision, does it not? Other people, our leaders, our institutions have no power over us unless we decide to give them that power. We must do our own work. When we understand the forces of light will bring us better things, our leaders and institutions must follow. This is universal law.
The Soul is Free
Our soul is representative of the forces of light. It is our ego that represents the limited, fearful self, better known as the forces of darkness. Practically speaking, our ego is but a temporary fixture within our experience. I think we can reasonably say, then, that our lower self is changeable. This we must know and allow. If we are the soul, and this realization is coming for many of us, then what the soul represents can happen here. Our soul exists in love and freedom. This is what we wish to express in our world. The vastness of the soul cannot be contained, you see. We are exceedingly aware of our attempt to express it all across the world. The women of Iran demand equality. The women in the United States will not be told what they can and cannot do. The men of the world will not be confined to what other men tell them they should be. And to our wonderful friends in Ukraine, we can stand up, take notice, and fight for the very same as you. The forces of light and darkness stand side by side. It’s ok. It must be so. We cannot help but fully realize that one will work, and one will not. Some will decide incorrectly, and this we must accept. When enough of us allow the forces of light to work, then no person or group can tell us what truth is and what is good for all. How beautiful and simple could it possibly be?
Humanity will not be held hostage. Let’s make it so.
All my love and support, be well
