The internet offers us everything we could possibly ask for today, that is certain. If you are seeking current political news, however, there are a few things for you to consider before you proceed. First of all, your primary motivation must be that you are seeking factual information. Let it be said, most of what is available online today is based on somebody’s opinion, not necessarily fact. My advice, no matter what you’re looking for, go directly to the source. Personally, when I do an occasional search online, I’m not interested in the invented reality of a person I have never met. I need the information that comes up to have some modicum of truth. I want to know what’s really going on. My friends, your goal needs to be the same.
If you get your political news through a social media platform such as Facebook, X, or Instagram, you need to be cautious about what comes up in your search. Social Media Platforms present information through algorithms. In other words, what is presented is what has received the most “hits”. The facts may or may not be there. Again, my suggestion is just to search the open web from your browser and go directly to the source. For example, msnbc.com, or whatever your particular news source is. Now, even the open web has its problems. If you use Google Search, especially with their adoption of the new AI technology, you may find similar issues. My friends, we’ll have to hope for the best. A private search engine such as Startpage or Duck Duck Go might be the better way to search for now. Let’s be discerning and remember, all the Big Tech companies have making money as their primary, if not only, motivation. This greatly affects the information we receive.
For those of you who still get your political news the old-fashioned way, such as myself, on your favorite cable news channel, let’s talk about that. First of all, my friends, all political news must be based on fact if we are to truly know what is going on. This leads us to the opportunity to make proper decisions about our future. Many of you may believe that MSNBC and CNN are simply liberal news channels, but you’re still going to receive factual information. On the other hand, Fox News, and others, may call themselves conservative news outlets, but you are not going to receive facts in any way. These are not news organizations, but merely propaganda machines. If you frequent these platforms, you are not interested in actual news or facts. Although, I will say, if you want to understand the reality that the Russian and Chinese people are living in, this is the way to go. State-sponsored television at its best. A pretend reality, manipulation and control is what you will get. These kinds of platforms intend to entertain rather than inform. My suggestion, if you want to know what’s really going on, choose MSNBC or CNN. If you simply want to be entertained, watch programs like “The Jerry Springer Show” or “WWE”.
My friends, there is no need to be paranoid when seeking information. The only thing we need to do is use our common sense. If the information you are receiving brings up irrational fear, hatred, violence, and the like, maybe you need to look elsewhere. If the information you are receiving brings up feelings of hope, basic goodness, and a positive forward movement, then that is the better way to go. If you feel inundated with misinformation and become confused by it, then maybe you simply need to ignore it. Focus your energies and your attention on how you would like things to be. We are responsible for the world and reality we wish to live in. A much better use of our time is to create and build a better way. Those who engage with fearmongering, we need to call them out. A beautiful new reality is not based on fear. Again, our goal must be about the facts and the truth. I understand much of this is unpleasant. But, we cannot move forward together without knowing where we currently are first. We cannot afford to be constantly entertained in order to avoid our responsibilities. We cannot allow ourselves to be addicted to the constant rise and fall of emotional propaganda. Let’s get into our hearts and feel good about what we are able to create. Let’s clarify our minds and see a beautiful world, a world of our own making.
Just a few words today. My friends, seek all the information you need. Be informed! Use your common sense and you’re going to be fine. If something seems fantastical or unbelievable, then it probably is. If it doesn’t feel right, then move along. With your honesty and willingness, you will find what you need. Don’t support what makes you feel bad, support what makes you feel good. With that, I think this is all for September. We’ll be busy in the coming month of October, so please join me. Yes, we’ll talk a little politics, but we’ll also be talking about healing, the path of our soul, and much more. Dear companions, be good and do good. Together, we will achieve!
All my love and support, be well
