The future of the Republican Party is clearly at stake today, through the many indictments of Donald Trump and his associates, the misguided behavior of the Supreme Court, and all the various legal battles they confront at state and local levels. The most serious dilemma they find themselves in, however, is of a more subtle nature, for their hidden motivations are indeed being exposed for all the American people to see. For the last many decades, what the Republican Party has told the American people, and what they actually do behind the scenes within their policy and legislation, just don’t match up. There’s no need to go into great detail again about whom the members of this party work for. My friends, they only serve themselves and the wealthy. If we continue to elect them as our representatives or, God forbid, elect them to the executive branch, we can expect them to continue giving obscene tax breaks to those who do not need them, and the majority of us will find ourselves in an even worse state than we already are. What has changed is that we have an opportunity to see their true motivations, what they are actually doing every single day, as we watch the news. I don’t mean Fox News, I mean actual news. Let it be said, we cannot allow ourselves to listen to only those that support our views, our beliefs, and how we would like things to be, while completely disregarding the actual reality we’re living in. This is the difficulty that is upon us, for we must see truth as a means to set us free, free to make the correct decisions for ourselves.
To those of you who have supported the Republican Party in the past, due to your moral or religious convictions, I understand, for we all wish our leaders to support and uphold a value system based on a sense of goodness and human decency. You see, we want to have faith in others, we want to believe they are telling us the truth and have our best interests in mind. I must tell you, however, just because they lead you to believe they come from a place of “Christian Values”, doesn’t mean they are. With an honest and hard look, it should be clearly seen they have no religious or moral convictions of any kind. There is no religious doctrine or teaching that suggests lying, cheating, and stealing at every turn is justifiable in any circumstances. My friends, you are not wrong for believing in them in the past, for we can all be gullible in our pursuit of a better life. The truth is, there is no person today who can be comfortable being lied to, manipulated, and used for political gain. The principles and practices of the Republican Party have no way to give you what you want and currently need in your lives. If you truly care about and love yourselves, your family, your friends, and you would like to see this world be a better place for all, a different direction must be chosen. If we support life, then we must support all life, and we must create and support better conditions for all life. The most important thing we must support today, is to let every one of our fellow human beings be able to make their own choices and decisions. This is the way of love.
The trials and tribulations of the Republican Party place each of us on trial as well. We have a level of transparency today never seen before, and this is a good and promising development, for we cannot choose correctly if we cannot see. What the exposure of truth brings us is an opportunity to become transparent ourselves. My friends, don’t lie, don’t manipulate, for this way has no possibility of getting us to that wonderful and beautiful place. What is happening in the political world, and every other area of human living, is a way for us to see that any attempt to get away with something at the cost of ourselves and everyone else cannot work, for someone will always see. On this day, we realize we can no longer hide. Why would we want to, for it serves no purpose in the end. What are we hiding from, anyway? The answer is becoming clearer to us as the days gently pass, or rather, not so gently pass, as the case may be. We wish to be clean and free, free of our own deception. If we wish to know love, if we wish love to be real, then we must decide today it is so.
Darkness, deception, and division is the path of the Republican Party. If they want to survive, they must realize the three choices that are before them. One, they continue down the path just described. This cannot work, for the majority of America, and humanity, intend to move forward. If they choose this way, all will suffer, including them. Two, they accept who and what they are, and make this clear to the American people. In this way, they will unfortunately lose temporarily, but it will be seen as a justifiable means to an end. This middle choice is necessary and inevitable, for it will lead to the third and desirable choice, that of change. It is now possible to choose a different direction in which all American people can be honestly served. This is their intended purpose.
