My dear companions, we know that we are always growing. We also know that in order to grow, we must be willing to heal whatever part of ourselves that stands in the way. More often than not, the healing process is a painful one. Although we cannot know why pain is necessary, we can rest assured it will bring to us that which we need. We experience pain, for we are attached to something we feel we need, but no longer need. The more we push the pain away, then, the more it’s going to hurt, and the longer the healing process is going to take.
What we must understand today, is that if we do in fact want to grow, we must accept the pain. Perhaps we can be more willing if understand that once the pain has arrived, the healing is nearing completion. It’s almost over, we’re almost there! It is transformation that is well underway, and transformation always brings to us more freedom, more freedom in every area of human and spiritual living.
The fires of transformation come from our very soul. It is not the intent of our soul to have us hurt. It is the intent of our soul to burn away what is unnecessary, what is no longer required of us to proceed. My friends, all of it. All the limiting thoughts and beliefs, all the misconceptions about who we are, and all the misunderstandings about what it will feel like to be whole. No matter what level of pain we experience, when it is over, we always feel better than we did before. We are always more of ourselves than we were before. Yes, we are a new person, we have a better life. The transformative fires of the soul are love itself. It hurts. Sometimes it hurts a lot. But, it is also indeed temporary. Every time we are willing, we become freer, freer to be who we really are. Every time we allow, the pain is less and less, and one day soon, all pain is gone forever.
