Meditation Archives

Our inner life is just as important as our outer life. We become so busy with our daily activities, we forget to give “ourselves” some much-needed attention as well. The Monthly Meditation at Indigo Mountain is intended to provide us with this opportunity. A formal meditation isn’t necessary to create this inner space. The important thing is to just take the time and do some reflection on yourself and your life. Each of us have our own way of achieving this, so do what works for you. I have found it helpful to have a theme each month to have something to focus on. Clearly there is plenty to choose from and think about, so it works better if we narrow things down just a bit. I believe it’s important for all of us to find and experience the natural rhythm that always exists. These natural rhythms do indeed affect, and therefore apply, to all of us. Simply put, a brief “going within” helps us feel connected to all things and sense what the bigger picture is all about. If we allow ourselves the time for inner reflection, with practice, we will develop a sense of ease and comfort as we go about our daily lives.
