What lies behind us and what lies ahead of us
Together, my friends, we stand in the middle
Together, my friends, we stand in our immovable intent
In the middle we are one
In the middle all is achieved
My friends, it is difficult for us to understand how we are going to move forward together. There are those who wish to have things remain as they are, and there are those who wish to change things, in order that we all move forward and become our best selves. These two groups, two forces really, oppose one another, and so, a battle ensues between what is and what can be. Neither of the two opposing sides have a complete understanding of either what is or what can be. The two sides, then, are more alike than they are different. Having said that, there can be no resolution to this apparent opposition without establishing a middle-ground. Believe it or not, the middle is essentially where we all exist. Within the middle, all potential lies. Our potential lies in the innate progression of the human spirit. It must be absolutely clear that all have the same innate potential to progress, and all are indeed welcome in this mutual progression. It is equally clear, then, the progression of the human spirit cannot be denied. You see, we are more alike than we are different, for even those who are afraid have courage, and even those who have courage are afraid. Middle ground and common ground are the same.
So, the two sides can come together and meet in the middle, through a total acceptance of what is. Then, what can be is revealed, and what can be, is light and love. You see, every human being has a soul, and this soul is light and love already. My friends, the innate progression of the human spirit is a full awareness of what exists in the middle. The middle is the common ground, what we all share. The middle is where the soul lives. The middle is essentially all that is. The pathway to the middle does not lead us toward the right or the left, nor does it lead us toward the past or the future. The pathway to the middle is the pathway forward, and the pathway forward is always the pathway upward toward the soul. The more of us who come together in the middle, then, the better the chances are that all move forward and upward. Our freewill offers us only one opportunity, you see. It is the opportunity to accept that the soul will have its way, and this way is the same way for all. The battle therefore ends in every way, for we recognize that we are together in the middle, and the middle is where our immovable intent lies. We are one, and we are the same. It is our time today.
